HAHA Welcome back 80OTI 366 days after your last post just to shit on someone..... :P

Kinda disappointed with the lack of maturity and humility in this thread from some people that have also done stupid shit in their time.

its okay. people seem to show their true self in situations like this.
i had a lot more to say to certain people, but my better judgement has told me to zip my lips (or stop typing in this case) and not say anything. seems like a few people cant just think things in their head and everything must be vocalised. :)
at the end of the day, everyone is different and everyone will respond in their own ways.
but i'll admit that i didnt expect these responses from some people considering their past.

hahaha

Ash, don't slip into your old ways. There are plenty of people who have chimed up and really, who cares. EVERYONE here has made mistakes in cars (I drove off a mountain) and I pay the price for this regularly at events.

Shit happens, learn from the experience.

Welcome back to some old faces :D Hopefully most of you can get over personal gripes/issues/history with others to come along to the cruise and lunch for old times sake and see some old friends who you've not had issues with.

Not slipping in to my old ways at all.

Don't really care for certain people anymore.

And just for the public record. I haven't asked anyone to say anything.

NOTE TO EVERYONE:
lets all be mature and act our age. if anyone has anything to say to me, feel free to PM/email/sms/call me.
i see no need for this discussion to continue and turn in to something thats even bigger than what its already become.

agreed?

Will this thing be fixed by the weekend? Kate's sisters boyfriend has an FG ute with similar mods and has been drooling over the pics of your wheels and wants to see it in the flesh.
I just don't know if people like me. I know when they don't like me 'cause they'll say things like, 'Yeah, that's him, officer.'

I'm not that surprised about the cost. Accidents always cost more than you think they would. But yes, $7k sounds excessive.

I bet the head light assembly costs $1k

it doesn’t take much for panel replacers (they don’t panel beat anymore) to be costly. We took Misty's Mazda 2 to get a quote to fix up a couple small dings (shopping trolley stile stuff) and it was going to cost over $1200

Could you buy the new panels/parts, and fix it yourself? All you need is a good socket set.

Why would ash want to do that when he has insurance?

I'm sure he'd be much more content to just pay the excess and get the car back in good condition.

Between myself and my contacts, I reckon I'd be able to do it for half the cost. But then I'd only be able to blame me if shit went wrong.

How much increase in insurance premium will Ash have to pay in future if he makes a claim?
