You should do it!
Total cost of car to date is $1030. Once I factor in tinted windows, brakes, water pump, fluid changes, seat covers+floor mats and wheel balance it should be under $1500.
And then I'll have a shitter for work transport that costs about $15 a week in fuel. Hopefully. :D

Muchos gracious must go to antos for the help, advice and parts donation.
If not for him I'd have been up for much more cost!

nah not really.
Seriously just bought it for a cheap economical ride to work.
To make it "faster" pretty much entails turbo'ing it. Which is in the back of my mind, but no where near a priority or reality ATM.
In saying that, I'd decided that the most expensive part of that option would be the ECU since everything else could be knocked together pretty cheap between my connections and some backyard handywork... And just today, I found I can get a computer to run a turbo setup for ~$600 :0

Drunk on a Sunday night. Just sanded back the rim (well, John did!) and I like this look!!!
Get the rims done properly this week and I think this is the look I'll run with. :))

It makes the rim look smaller!

They're not sitting side by side. Black rim is fitted to the car, silver rim is closer to the camera.

I know what you're saying but it does make the rims look smaller on the car. It think it's because the rim now has two colours. My lizard brain only sees the black portion as the rim. Since the black portion is small than the whole rim it makes it look smaller.

Just out of interest, where will you be taking it to get the RWC done? I need a 'friendly' one to get the 200 back on the road

I'm not sure yet. I think I have a hookup. Lenient if you're registering for yourself. Not so lenient if you are planning to sell.

I vote for the black rims. But.... I like black rims on cars.
