New car :)

Post by iano » Fri 08 Mar, 2013 7:45 pm

I'm actually all for these laws, no matter how ridiculous they seem. Was traveling behind a ute with a load full of household crap (this was in the Jazz as well).

From out of nowhere a queen sized mattress comes flying off the back, literally bounces in front of us and up over our heads. Turn to the wife and say umm did you just see that? Yeah....

It happened so quickly neither of us had time to react with an omg wtf, was only afterwards we realised what a close call that was.

I'm all for it too.
I just find your mention of a $1k fine for an unrestrained pair of thongs both ridiculous and doubtful.

Pair of thongs sitting loosely in the back and not tied down? $1000 fine kiddo. Bang.

A lot of your posts lately are unsecured loads

Just FYI, all utes are too expensive. Overpriced trade vehicles IMHO.

I don't begrudge you for buying it, but its the type of vehicle I reckon you will regret purchasing later on.
Sorry for the negativity but having owned one for a couple years I don't see the point. Fucking nice ride anyway in the meantime. Better than a shit-tin hilux lol

Haha there will be no Chev bade.

Yeah Graham i know they arent the 'common sense option' but its what i want to buy. I know the smartest option would be a 2nd hand 4 cyl barina or something similar that will cost far less to won and run.

I owned a VU SS a few years ago and loved it...at this point in life its just what i want.

I think utes are great. My rear seats hardly ever get used.
When they are used, it's usually by drunk mates, and I could do without them in the back seats anyway. Lol
I originally looked at an f6 Ute, but decided against it because I thought it was way too tail happy for me.

Farkin heck there's a few of these cars around.... 100+ on carsales

Look to be approx 80k-ish for a 4yr old. Way over my head price wise, but still 1/2 the cost of a new one

I know of a second hand 997 CarreraS for similar money.

But its all academic, you're too mindful of your money.
