Projekt Klassiker

Post by aleks » Mon 29 Apr, 2013 4:50 am

While living and working in the UK for a number of year now, I have been tempted to start another car project.

This time it's something different.

It's German, it's old (46 years old in fact) and it's left hand drive.

Can anyone guess what this could be?

Very very close Iano, but tri_ll_ion got it, and it's not a 2002.

I've purchased a 1967 BMW 2000CS which has been partially restored. Just need to finish off some cosmetic items.

I will post some more pics tonight.

So, this car was originally imported from Germany to Poland about 8 years ago by a guy who lives near Warsaw. He restored all the bodywork a few years ago, and it's been in storage ever since.

There are a number of items left to do, but they're just cosmetic. Things like chrome hub cabs, interior carpet and headliner, etc.

Mechanically, it's all sound. The 2.0L 4cyl engine runs well, and the 4 speed gearbox is all good. The engine bay needs a good polish and clean, and that might show up any obvious leaks. But, the car only has 71,000 kms on the clock, so it should be ok! fingers crossed.

Below are attached some more pics. The photo trillion posted is not of my car.

My idea is to keep it as original as I can - with as little compromise as possible.

However, there is a plan ot use it as our wedding car, but this doesn't leave much time!

Well your car looks great, I like these oldies because they are 10 times more strong then
today's modern cars. and also good in performance. Please share more photos of that car if
you have. I like it.
