Apparently they are really clearing everything. I missed the boat, but they were selling 500gb ps4's for $300. But apparently there is plenty of camera gear going ridiculously cheap.

iano saying things again

DSE is actually causing JB hifi lots of problems with all their discounting. the biggest problem DSE have is poor inventory management - they have been busy offering discounts on fast moving stock (like apple products), while all their working capital tied up in old stock. they are in trouble because they have a cash crunch, not a drop in market share.

i just bought a new keyboard/mouse for work. JBHifi was $198, Officeworks was $229 but offer to beat the price by 5%.
This day and age, if you want to buy something "offline" you've gotta play them against each other. ;)

Just scored a brand new Alpine single DIN CD headunit, with full iPhone integration, front USB and 3.5mm stereo jack, 3x preouts.....aka all the usual crap that once would cost you $600+ not more than 2-3 years ago.

For $135, from JB Hifi :o

Old habits die hard I suppose. This current range will be Alpine's very last line of single DIN CD tuners, they won't be making any more. No point apparently, everything nowadays is double DIN screens/factory OEM infotainment system integration. And once internet connectivity becomes standard in your $14,999 shopping trolley, bubbye CD players altogether. Hello Spotify, Apple music, Pandora etc etc. And if you're povvo and live in Kallangur you'll have to settle for your $6 USB stick full of pirated MP3s.

Walked past a store today, stepped in and walked out after spending heaps of dollars on things I don't need. But we did get an ipad mini 16Gb cellular for under $400

Picked this up for $79. Marked down from $349. I can't argue with that!

Some good deals if you're lucky. Two portable Philips speakers for $20 each.
No luck on phone. Cheap but not cheap enough to bite
