Any New People?!

Post by spitex » Fri 27 Dec, 2002 12:27 am

Hey everyone,

We have a lot of new people join up here each week and we would all like to know more about ya's. Instead of making a new thread each time, use this one. Tell us stuff like where ya live, what ya drive, how you found redlineAU and any other information you feel like sharing.

Cheers, and welcome. :D

Okay. I'll go first;

This handle is David's but I (Lisa) occasionally use it because he uses the net over at my house (because I have cable) and it wouldn't make sense to create a new seperate profile for myself if I mainly lurk and post about one post a week.

David drives a red GTiR (it's his baby) and sometimes drives my supra. He loves nissan cars in general (apparently we're never gonna own non-Nissan cars and I'll be driving the "kids" to school in a Nissan Stagia [sp?]...really fast). :P

I don't drive....working on getting my license though...only auto at this stage. I don't know if I can get my feet co-ordinated enough to balance a clutch and gas pedal (I hit a bin once and had like 20 people honking at me...very traumatic). I do want a car I can actually drive (ie auto and not 5 speed like the supra)...don't know what but it will definately get a pink respray.

David works at a bank (BOQ) but he's quitting and will be working at NRMA and a engineering firm (he's a mechanic engineering major) and I'm a business management/law student. He lives in Carindale, I live in Durack. He's 21, and I'm 19.

Hi I'm new..... I hope this post works.....

I'll go too just cause I can... and I'm bored at work....

I also own a GTiR... its Black has RNN14 number plates on it... (That's the model number of the car for those of you that don't know....)

I live in Everton Park and work at Milton as a Systems Administrator I'm 22...

I heard about redlineau back in the old days of aaclub and so I joined....

I enjoy everything that redlineau has to offer... the friends, the knowledge, the cruises and the social outings that we can get involved in.... Its tops :thumb

Looking forward to meeting all the newbies when next we have a cruise which I'm hoping will be early this coming year (2003)!

Well I own one of the other black GTi-R's, with number plates OON 140 (RNN14 was taken .. and I didn't even know Matt at that stage - who would have thought!).

I am 21 years old, and I live on the Gold Coast. I also work in the IT industry (like 50% of the people on redline :P).

I first heard of redline from Matt (Jnr_Zilla) when he was taking some photos one night and I asked him where he posted them .. I first met Matt from the Yahoo GTi-R-Oz group.

That'll do :)

I own the 92 Green GTi-R and I am 24 years old, live in Red Hill area and I work for the Goverment as a fitter and turner (metal stuff) in Enoggera. I also heard of redline through Matt (Jnr_Zilla) while I was on the yahoo GTi-R-Oz group. He has a knack of pulling in all the GTi-R drivers to this site

Iano here. Basically its IAN with an O on the end. Say one after the other and thats how its pronounced as everyone seemed to be getting it wrong. I'm 22, have 6 months left to do on a advanced DIP of IT in System Admins but to keep myself going I work up at coles. I live at The Gap. Not too bad except I wish this bastard in a white Honda sports coupe would stop strapping around my neighborhood and gimme some damn peace :P

I drive a 1990 EA Falcon Family Wagon which is relatively stock except for a decent stereo. Went to school with Spite, Gater and Schmacko so thats how I heard about rAU.

Interests in life are anything technical (computers, networks) and audio. Mainly concerned about home HiFi but dont mind car audio either.

Oh and Garfield comics too
This isn't life, it's just stuff. And it's become more important to you than living. Well, honey, that's just nuts

Well, my name is Deb and I live on the Northside with ESKYant... we're engaged and getting married in March 2003. We have 3 cats (Bailey, Jack D and Tia Maria) and a dog called Peanut but my pride and joy is Giz - A white Mitsubishi Lancer GSR (Soon to join our garage is Ants new project the Mk 1 Escort). I'm 22 and work for the government which pretty much explains my 'spam' title

I was orginally going to buy a GTi-R (even had one lined up in Japan to import) and was browsing on the GTi-Rs owners list for a while looking for info etc, which is where I first heard bout redline (through Jnr mostly and Booti too I think?). Joined up and that was that :D I've met so many wonderful (and even a few not so wonderful) people here on redline but every time we've come out, I've had so much fun... This is a great place to be (which explains why I am always here  ) !!

Oh! And welcome to the newbies too... :afro
