Hi, just joined the site.

I stumbled on it by accident, you guys should advertise more.

I am currently driving an r33 GTS-T, but am in the process of selling it.

I have just purchased a n15 pulsar, and am talking to my mechanic tomorrow becasue we( ok him and his team) are going to be putting an Sr20det into it as well as upgrading the brakes and clutch very soon, like hopefully starting as soon as we can source the parts.

I was hoping to do the ehxaust and suspension but don't think i will be able to afford it as yet, so i'll have to wait on those.

Then of course I will have to get some nice rims, add some better quality audio equipment, then a body kit.

Ok i have rambled on enough for now, see you all on the boards.

Cheers
Trip

Hi from Imbil

Post by Ayisha » Fri 03 Aug, 2007 7:48 pm

Hi all,

I'm a motorsport enthusiast from Imbil in the Mary Valley, SE Queensland. My first love is F1, but I'll watch pretty much anything.

I've become involved in rallying as an official as my husband has an amateur radio licence and terrain that is interesting for rally cars is usually pretty challenging for the radio communcications that goes with the event.

The family cars are "Ayisha" (the reason I selected my user name) a 98 Jaguar XJR V8 supercharged, "Tricity", a 67 Jaguar S-Type (who behaves like her namesake on most occasions), "Heapus III" a 95 Jeep Cheroke Sport which is a wonderful car offroad and "Black Beastie" a 97 Commodore Acclaim Wagon which arrived with lowered-suspension, mag wheels and a mean body kit which is now looking much worse for wear after a few years in the countryside.

To fill out the last question of the first post, I found the board while searching for photos from the Suncoast Classic, the last event we officiated at as it's always nice to see what's actually happening within the stage rather than at the sedate Start and Finish points.

Hi Ayisha, Imbil is such a beautiful place, hard to imagine what would be lost if they were ever to get through with that dam planning.

For the last couple of years I've made the trip up to watch the ARC event there, this year we did beer and lunch at the pub and watched that old steam train chug off from the station.

http://picasaweb.google.com/toddau/ImbilARC07

Seemed like much fewer people this year than last, but I only went on the last day of the event this year while last year only on the first..

Anyway I could rattle on forever, welcome and enjoy.

Hey peeps, just joined up a couple days ago and thought I'lld say hello.

My name is Kurt, I'm 21 and live at Capalaba. Currently going to University at Griffith and work part time at a pub. Yay me..

Not quite to sure how I saved enough money for my 2003 Honda Integra Type R (Silver). Previous cars: Had a MIGHTY Hyundai excel, no power steering or air con. First car i purchased myself was a 2001 lancer mr.

Looking to add some form of sound system to the DC5, and maybe one day when I have cash/win lotto, I'lld love to add some performance mods.

Oh and how i found the site, was googling info about track days at Queensland race way and found a post from redlineau about some type R's (and others) going up there for the day.

Also, hope no one takes offense to this, but I'm sick of young drivers crashing. Drives my bloody comprehensive insurance price up. I'm Paying $1100 a year to much in my opinion lol.

Welcome to redline kurt.

Nice car, watch out for those nissan owners, they're pretty harsh on the integra owners :P

Keep an eye out on redline, there should be a driver training event at QR coming up shortly ;)

I don't see you getting off your sticky date to organise anything

cause the last "cruise" we had was just me, you, ian, trent, mish and one of trent's mates... and that was well and truely over a year ago...

we've been down this path many times... people on rAU have moved on from 'cruising'... (not complaining, just stating a fact... everyone 'matures' at some stage)

and in terms of other 'car related' events.. ie, driver training, track days, etc.
i wouldnt have the slightly clue on how to start organising an event like that, let alone make an event like that run smoothly... :)
