Ugh, not good Confused

Chips are much easier to mask than cracks. I take it you mean the paint has hair line cracked right through to the base? I had this happen on the Jazz and very carefully tried to paint over it with touch up, then wet sand and refine. It didn't work too well....

Basically, we (detailers) can't replace paint that isn't there by means of buffing and polishing.

Oh and before you let your insurance company go ahead with the repairs, make sure you do your research and use a reputable panel shop!! (eg K&J). I had a repair done recently and the bastards fucked it Very Mad (was from an RACQ recommended repairer too I'll add). There is a distinct white residue mark on the tailgate which isn't coming off.

FWIW the only reason I didn't use K&J is because he's too far away from me....

damn... well, i'm hoping its not too bad and that it can be fixed without repainting panels... Sad

yeah, if i can, i'll get K&J to fix it... but i dont know if AAMI can let you pick the repairer... i think they just go with "the best quote"...

its booked in to get assessed on tuesday next week, so i'll know more then...

its amazing how quickly the paint got fucked!! it was only a few hours... Sad

No longer going to continue with this venture. Received my latest bill from QLD Urban Utilities and was stung several hundred dollars above the last one for water usage....and it won't be any cheaper going forward either. This, plus equipment/consumables upkeep and tax declaration means I'm barely breaking even.

I also don't have the time anymore. Thank you everyone for your support.

Obviously not charging enough... Razz

Petrol-head Gurcharn Sahota charges a staggering £7,200 for Britain’s most expensive car wash which he does – from his PARENTS’ GARAGE.

Car-nut Gurcharn, 30, has a string of celebrity clients and takes up to 250 HOURS to clean each motor.
